Old fashioned Lack of communication Culture stinks - no respect for time difference,expected to work late and weekends with no acknowledgment Senior management haven't grasped the one mouth two ears for a reason concept No pay rise unless you resign Everything done on a shoestring

Great location but only go here if you are in the position to turn things around

Pros

Lovely room overlooking the Thames and the O2 in a beautiful glass fronted office. Peace and quiet guaranteed when required. Nestled in Canary Wharf with great amenities. Given quite a high degree of autonomy in role due inadvertently to lack of senior management oversight. Exposure to a wide range of products.

Cons

Middle and back office with limited awareness of the products they were buying despite spending a substantial amount of money on them. Senior management who had little understanding of the complex regulatory environment they functioned in (or feigned ignorance deliberately) and also do not believe in raising salaries or investing in the training of their staff. Underestimated the importance of key products and were willing to sacrifice them in the altar of profit.

bad teamwork between global offices, unflexible management structure, unflexible view of risk, big administration with no biz focus
