Pros

-Half-day Fridays -Bonus (sometimes) -Hybrid work schedule with flexibility

Cons

-Promote internally based on likability, not experience or ability -Lots of cliques and gossip, culture could be much more welcoming. Feels like a high school sometimes, managers pick favorites -Not a ton of company sponsored social events -No formal training in my department, learn as you go along/shadowing

Pros

Good pay and excellent benefits. Hybrid structure job for most and half-day Fridays. Great cafeteria and coffee shop with lots of affordable options.

Cons

Odd company culture with favoritism very obvious in the Marketing department. Middle management contributes to and encourages gossiping and bad behavior. Barely any work-life balance, as night meetings are frequent. The high turnover here is for a reason!!

Pros

Bissell used to be a grest place to work and used to have a good culture. Only good thing left is 1/2 day Friday’s all year.

Cons

Family owned, so if you are related or friends with the family you’ll get promoted at breakneck speed. Definitely still an old boys club- lots of white, middle-aged men at the helm. Company hasn’t been doing well this year, however, all of Senior Mgmt just got promoted up a level. Senior mgmt is full of themselves and disconnected with those that actually do the work.
