Pros

I get a pay check

Cons

As always, non of the "little people" aka non-managers who actually do all the work get any credit for the contributions they do. You turn in the work but there's never any thank you. Top leadership will send out a nice email acknowledging the director's/manager's great work but no one else who helped tremendously gets any recognition. Perhaps its' the managers/directors who aren't letting any of their supervisors know who actually is doing the work? They are blind to their ways. They don't see it. UNLESS you're management, you don't get any timely or at all, any responses in getting your work done. But yet, we little people are required/expected to answer back immediately or will suffer a verbal beat down by our director. Plus, they pay their director's/manager tons of money/salary but we little people are extremely underpaid for the complexity/work we do.

Pros

Good work life balance, I moved from investments to credit where I was recognized for my hard work. If you want to be a Wealth Advisor or Private Banker there is great opportunities. However, I had no interest in credit.

Cons

I worked for the company for almost 10 years. I did not get promoted in investments like other male counterparts with less experience. I was even offer a lower job title than my current role at the company with an associate role offer which I found humorous. I thought this was very degrading. The offer I had outside the company was a senior management role and they knew that. The company does not promote women in investments. They treat associates terrible. There is no opportunity for growth like other companies and they do not promote their most talented employees. I don’t really know anyone left. Most people have left.
