Pros

Good people in retail branches

Cons

Change in management emphasis is now on sale and not customer service. Looking for bankers with used car salesman mentality. Feedback given through micro management.

Pros

The benefits package (health, dental, and 401k) were above average compared to other companies

Cons

Company used to be tight-knit, community with freedom. Over the past 2 years, with the competing big banks like Chase and Bank of America, Harris (now BMO Harris) has become micro-managed and high-stress. The company no longer cares about their employees as long as the customers are happy. Slogan used to be "we're here to help" which generally meant their employees and their customers... Notice how they are no longer "here to help" - simply to make money make sense. Oh and on a side-note, the technology is about 5 years behind

Pros

Upper management knows what they are doing morally and ethically.

Cons

A specific manager should not be a manager. No encouragement, negative, and believes in delegating all of her work so she can shop all day! Turn over is high due to poor management in this specific office.
