Pros

The pay is okay and the benefits are great, dollar for dollar 401k match, there is a lot of communication within the company. I've seen a lot of movement within the company, but sometimes it's lateral movement, not necessarily promotions.

Cons

In some of the more specialized areas of the bank, there is no room for growth. The pace is too fast and too much is being put on the employees so 40 hour weeks turn into 50, 60 hour work weeks. There is an allowance of employees with complete disrespect for their colleagues and managers which sometimes creates a hostile work environment.

Nothing exciting

Pros

You have a set schedule, don't have to work night or weekends (other than a Saturday until noon here and there) and they offer great benefits, as well as paid vacation and sick time

Cons

It is not the most exciting job in the world. There is a lot of downtime. Overall, it is just a very boring job. If you like interacting with people more than just a "hi, how are you?", this is not the job for you. Also, if you have a question, don't expect to be able to ask the manager. You can ask all you want, but he will have no idea.
