Miserable, Outdated Culture

Pros

Pay and benefits are okay

Cons

White male dominated company operating with a 1980s mindset. Not Millenial or female friendly at all. There's really no incentive for coming to work here other than the paycheck. Everyone is miserable and that negative energy spreads. It used to be a great place to work until senior management changed. Wealth Management is a particularly awful place to be. Strategy completely built on fear tactics and entitled boomers with white male privilege rather than growth and development of younger employees. Promotions are also scarce and raises are laughable. All of the money stays at the top.

What is management thinking

Pros

The work life balance was one of the only advantages to this company. The people that are there are like family.

Cons

Making all employees return to offices as of 2019 and removing work from home altogether is one of the most narrow minded things that I have ever heard of. A massive walkout of talent should not long follow. Bad Management doesn't reward current employees while bringing on younger talent at high salaries Constant chase after the new and shiny rather than working towards perfecting or improving systems that they already have built.

Pros

Some of the people are nice and you do get a lot of vacation.

Cons

I can deal with the below average pay but by taking away work from home, it no longer seems worth it. The place is becoming more toxic as more things seem to be slowly taken away . Work life balance has also taken a hit as the layoff survivors are taking on more work
