      Going through transition

      Pros

      The CEO and leadership are implementing a lot of change. There's more focus on being client focused and less on efficiency for efficiency's sake.

      Cons

      The leadership hasn't done a great job communicating the vision / strategy so people feel disconnected from the company. For example, org changes are partially announced without clear guidance for what it means for the day to day. All of this creates uncertainty and hurts engagement.

      Pros

      Stable job. There are always positions open to be filled. Easy place to start in a career if you have minimal experience.

      Cons

      Terrible transparency. Unprofessional peers. Rare to see proper collaboration skills. Management too political. Culture lacks empathy. Focus on delivering anything as fast as possible. There are too many people in positions they do not have proper skills and experience for. Quick turnover rates for positions.

      Corporate Actions Specialist

      Pros

      90% of the work is daily work - processing corporate actions. The benefit here is that once you leave the office, you're truly done a full day's work, without having to think about long-term projects, meetings, deadlines, presentations, etc looming over your head. The work can be stressful and fast-paced, but if you're able to keep up with the busy days, it's rewarding to be able to complete work constantly.

      Cons

      Pay is terrible. I've worked hard and gotten great performance reviews over the year and a half I've been here. I just got my "merit-based" raise of 2%. The company refuses to spend more money on its employees, and as a result, in the year and a half I've been here, I've seen at least 7 employees from different levels of my department leave in pursuit of better pay elsewhere.
