Pros

Laid back for the most part, some good people

Cons

Embarrassingly low pay for almost all except for directors & c-level executives.

Pros

- Work/life balance. I only worked overtime a few times in 5 years. - Once you're in, there are a lot of different types of jobs to move around in.

Cons

- Resistance to change. Like in any big company, I felt like my ideas had very little chance of being implemented. - Complacent employees. Again, a big company side effect. Managers didn't expect very much, and even my very smart coworkers didn't find much motivation to do their best. - Review process. Several employees were there completely on seniority; they were inefficient and limited, if not a liability.

Magnet for mean managers

Pros

Decent pay and bonus compared to other wall street banks. Good 401k plan. Standard wall street firm health plan and other perks. Company itself is not a bad place to work for.

Cons

While the company need changes, management were either too eager to break everything or too slow to make a difference. Killing the staff because the management keeps changing for the last 2 years and direction keeps changing too.
