To understand BNY Mellon better you need to understand what is expected of you, in India you are like a slave who is expected to do everything that your manager tells you to. You are asked to not use brains while working. So then what keeps BNY Mellon going? Well, buttering bosses...People refer to their managers as sir and boss.
Recently they are facing a big crisis as to why women are leaving let me tell you, if you are not in BNY you don't know what sex discrimination at workplace is. Women are discouraged, harassed and when nothing else works, simply asked to leave.
It's a place of all gossip no work and that's the culture. It's a responsibility but no accountability workspace. And for those who consider it a brand have definitively not worked at a better organisation and neither capable. The oldies here have been working on years at end. They have no skills, no educational qualifications, no sense of professionalism, and no ethical standards.
The crowd in Chennai is a bunch of (like someone else's review) "lungi-wearing monkeys" who beat all levels of crass and idiotic behaviour. Some even come to office in sandals. At BNY your colleagues are cheats, criminals or psychos.
BNY Mellon for all that legacy is an utter disappointment. It's racist, sexist, communal and ancient. One will learn nothing in terms of work. Not recommended for any women looking at a career switch at a good position.
