Pros

Teams were assigned projects on a rotational basis. Plenty of opportunities to learn all aspects of banking.

Cons

As with most brick and mortar banks, BOKF typically uses older technology, and there is not much opportunity to grow your skill set. Being there for a long amount of time can limit your future value when searching for a new job. There are plenty of intra-company move options though, which senior management highly encourages.

Pros

401K is really good (but only after 10 years of employment) Hybrid Work from home/in office Managers didn’t micromanage

Cons

If you aren’t an ACT graduate your career path is limited. ACT graduates get preferential treatment and special opportunities, while non-ACT employees get overlooked. The Tulsa Private Wealth underwriting team in located in a cinder block room with no windows. It’s a dungeon. This is a regional corporate bank. With a corporate culture. Corporate culture may fit well for some but it just wasn’t a good fit for me.
