Pros

BRPH has no shortage of kind and talented personnel. Without question, they are in a position to complete jobs of almost any scope and with a high degree of professional skill. Furthermore, the office culture is pleasant and benefits are rather generous.

Cons

Portfolio of clients is quite prestigious, but many are actually detrimental to company success. Despite this, work with said bad clients continues to increase.

Pros

Best benefits I’ve ever seen. Company picks up most of the cost. Encourages professional development and also provides a $500 a year reimbursement for gym membership, just fun class or public transportation. Keeps up with latest technology. Provides the employee what they need to do their job. Very accommodating for people with disabilities or in need of ergonomics. Very quick response in getting computer issues resolved or assistance with benefits.

Cons

Not really a con for the company but working at a client site can be a real challenge. You don’t have the luxuries of what’s available at the home office in Melbourne.

Pros

BRPH does some interesting high profile projects, for some well know clients. Worked alongside some very talented people. Many positive proactive staff/ Engineers/colleagues, at multiple levels, at many offices.

Cons

Business model has been to open office at locations of large projects, hire minimum staff at new office, so to perform much of the work back at the home office in Melbourne, attending client meetings via online video conferencing. A practice not always appreciated by the Client. Not a lot of opportunity for advancement in satellite offices, and sharing of workload only goes one way, so expect layoffs at satellite offices when local projects slow down. Also, since, by their own admission, individual offices are not profit centers, it's a crapshoot whether annual bonuses are generous, or very disappointing. Your office may have performed outstanding, but if other offices struggle, that is a likely a sign that your otherwise sizable bonus will be absorbed by Principles. Don't be surprised if lay-off occurs right before the annual bonus are due, in attempt to withhold bonus due. And no bonus at all the first year, unless you have more than 6+ months of employment with the firm under your belt.
