Pros
Working remotely (when you aren't being pestered via Teams) People are somewhat friendly (to your face)
Cons
Buckle up. This job was easily the worst I've ever worked in my entire life. Bullying culture is very alive at this place. Management DO NOT CARE. Once or twice when I first started, I was approached by colleagues but after my initial period, they will exclude you and make you feel like an outsider. Favouritism is also given, and the management don't even bother to hide it. I asked for support multiple times during my employment and never once was it given. Before I took the job, I made it clear that progression was very important to me, and was promised progression within the first year (or at least steps to begin) and it never happened even after I asked and borderline pestered management about it. So if you are looking for a supportive environment to grow your career in, this is NOT it. The manager would openly mock the previous people who worked there, and was the biggest man-child you will ever meet. He constantly had power trips, where he would mock and insult me and even go as far as swearing at me during 'professional' meetings (1-1 catch ups). He was immature and micro-managed, despite constantly mentioning how much he hates micromanagement. When I was working remotely, I would receive Teams calls and messages about my work even though there were no issues. I even received calls while I was on my lunch break to my personal mobile, which only stopped when I pointed out I would not be answering those calls while offline for the hour. On multiple occasions, I was publicly berated for issues which had nothing to do with me. No one else on the team received this treatment. The manager also MADE UP LIES about me and I was ostrasiced as he spread those rumours. He would contradict himself non stop and then punish and attack me when I acted according to what he said. If you require flexibility with your WFH schedule and you aren't a favourite of the manager, you can forget it. If I was ever sick, had a bereavement or anything which required me to WFH or take a sick day on short notice, it was the biggest problem and would be mentioned time and time again. Any minor mistake made would become the biggest issue which will leave you insulted and ignored. I have tons more I can write - my experience at this company was horrendous. If you are considering working on the Inside Sales team at BSI, RUN.
