Pros

The people are lovely and they genuinely care about BSI's Purpose. Flexible and hybrid working. Lots of learning opportunities and support with development.

Cons

It feels increasingly old-fashioned in terms of the most senior leaders' style and approach. Toxic management practices aren't dealt with and there are very few opportunities for promotion. Strategy not clear and too many buzzwords and slogans don't help. Colleagues aren't always treated as adults.

Pros

Most people are kind. Working remote is nice.

Cons

There appears to be significant favouritism and bullying within the RS MedDev Commercial and Marketing teams. Like many large corporations, BSI seems more focused on protecting managers, directors, and senior leadership than supporting the employees who are actually driving results and generating revenue. I’ve personally seen highly talented individuals pushed out through bullying, even after concerns were escalated to senior management and HR. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. Several recent promotions like the Eastern Europe Sales Manager, EMEA Marketing Managers, and Head of EMEA Marketing — appeared to happen without any formal job postings, which goes against BSI’s own Code of Conduct. In many cases, these individuals seem unqualified for their roles and contribute very little. Some team members, particularly within the Italian group, are consistently disrespectful and have been involved in bullying behaviour. HR has also acted unprofessionally in situations involving legal representatives. In one case, a Manager intentionally brake-checked another vehicle while driving a company car, and the incident was recorded and widely shared online. Many employees were shocked and disturbed by the behaviour, yet HR chose to protect the manager rather than address the concerns raised by staff. In 2025, only three sales employees achieved their targets, yet no meaningful accountability followed. The individuals responsible for the poor performance remain in their positions at BSI. It raises serious questions about leadership accountability within the company.
