      Great Place to Get Into Contracting After the Military

      Pros

      Easy to get started in contracting, especially if you have a clearance Benefits include instant vesting for 401k, which is rare in contracting Salaried, decreases in hours in contract doesn't impact your pay 40 days unpaid leave, and management is quite flexible and able to work with you based on your own personal circumstances. If your contract gets cut, they will find you a good follow-on position. This happened to me in Kuwait, and I got a follow-on position less than 48 hours after I got back to the US.

      International opportunities outside the middle east and Afghanistan are limited

      Pros

      Great Experience altogether so far - Recruitment process was easy and to the point. Recruiter kept in contact throughout the months leading up to my departure - During the training week in Virginia, the David (CEO) personally drove down to meet with myself and another BTS employee IOT welcome us to the company and answer any questions that we had. (The food was amazing as well so that’s a plus) - The professionalism of everyone that I’ve dealt with in the company thus far has been extraordinary, and I’ve had to deal with quite a few of them for personal reasons - Had an emergency issue where I needed a pay advance and it was handled within 24 hours - The benefits are great for me and my family

      Cons

      only "complaint" I have and it isn't even a big deal is that we get paid monthly instead of on the 1st and 15th, but like I said...not even a big deal

      We are glad that the recruitment and on-boarding experience demonstrates our values as a company and as a team of professionals. Our people is who we are and we want to make sure everyone is taken care of. We appreciate the comment about our monthly pay cycle. We have found that it simplifies and reduces the costs and administrative burden in working the payroll process, allowing us to focus on taking care of our customers and our people. We understand the transition from bi-weekly to monthly pay cycles can be a challenge when people join the team and have a liberal policy of pay advances to help bridge.

      Pros

      BTS is a tight knit company, full of experienced people who are more than willing to support other analysts in finding them a career in the intelligence community outside of the DOD.

      Cons

      Since I have only been at the company a short while, I do not have any real cons to contribute right now.

      We appreciate your comment. We do definitely do our best to use our experience and networks to get all of our people to the next place they want to be in life weather that is with us or not. We do not throw our people to the wind when they leave a contract. We value the relationship we build while you are here and want people to always feel supported.
