Pros

A job with some benefits. Good insurance and health benefit. Located in beautiful San Diego. Close to public transportation and stores.

Cons

Toxic environment. Inexperience VPs and directors. High turnover. People start looking for their next job as soon as they get hired. HR is completely inactive and does not follow employee’s complains.

We appreciate and value your feedback. With the growth Bachem has experienced, there are challenges for everyone in our organization, including our highly qualified and experienced managers and leaders. The work is dynamic and demanding, which is clearly not a fit for everyone. With regards to Human Resources, confidentiality can prevent others from having visibility to outcomes. Rest assured that Bachem takes all employee complaints seriously and addresses them with thoroughly and professionally. We hope that you find success in your next career move.

Pros

Near San Diego metro, nice weather and low living cost. It was good years before.

Cons

Bad management, whatever things happen, the managers/supervisors skip responsibilities and enjoy in the air condition rooms. Not many people like to stay long.

We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction during your time at Bachem. Your feedback has been provided to the management team. While the managers and supervisors certainly can spend more time on the shop floor, Bachem has full confidence that they are taking seriously their responsibilities and are diligently working on tasks that are not visible to their staff. Thank you for taking the time to share your opinions. We with you the best of luck with your career.

Work from Home

Pros

Many jobs at Bachem were moved to home offices during the pandemic. Recently, many of those jobs were made into permanent work-from-home positions. This is a huge benefit.

Cons

Lack of personal interaction (but the pros outweigh the cons).

We are happy that you are part of the Bachem family!!! Glad to know that you have been receptive to the option of working from home. We are pleased to have this option available for our employees whose job does not require them to be physically present at the worksite. More staff members are coming on-site periodically for team meetings and to have face-to-face interactions with colleagues. If this is not happening for you, please discuss with your manager your desire to make regular on-site visits to get the personal interactions that you are missing. Be Safe and Healthy.
