      Pros

      great personal development processes, including international and local class based training. Bain also allows consulting staff to remain "generalised" until they become quite senior, which means that you are gauranteed exposure to many different industries, capabilities and functions over the course of your career. Bain's private equity practice is much larger than its nearest competitors, which means that you are offered opportunities to work between typical strategic cases and 'Due Diligence' work in the Private Equity group.

      Cons

      hours can be long, travel can be significant. Also, the regional staffing model means that to some extent you are confined to the industry mix of the office in which you are located

      The place to be for anyone interested in management consulting with strong motivation.

      Pros

      A very good reason to want to work there woud be that it's an amazing place to learn and share knowledge in a very high level and friendly environment made of people eager to deliver results. The place to be for anyone interested in management consulting with strong motivation. Even as an associate consultant you get to be genuinely involved in the core resolution of the problems

      Cons

      The only downside I see is that it is quite hard to maintain a good balance between work and private life. But still the management is quite comprehensive and the job really exciting.

      Pros

      This job pays very well - compensation is great at the beginning and ramps up significantly. It can be a bit of a trick though, as because it pays well, nothing will compare well against it.

      Cons

      work life balance is a frustrating problem....hours can be unmanageable and hard to control
