Fast turn over, no respect for work-life balance of remote team
Pros
In Chicago, close-knit IT team and typically everyone at the branch is very friendly. Free food when there are meetings around. Get to travel with 100% reimbursement for IT related trips. Overall company culture made me "feel" valued as an associate. In Chicago branch you work with the board members and executive leadership and they are all friendly people.
Cons
Management has high turn over and they high within the group, no one is truly experienced in a managerial position. Terrible communication from other IT teams when help is needed. Financial companies have the worst mannered clients because they're dealing with their clients' money so any slowdown on IT's end is hurting everyone's bottom line; no one seemed to really care in our IT higher ups. No possibility of moving up or title change, this is based on seniority and proximity to the main branch (in Milwaukee). No one in the IT department adheres to the company culture, repeatedly heard that it was a joke and waste of time.
