Extremely slow-moving and reluctant to change. Very clearly stuck in old-aerospace mindsets using design approaches. Hardly following industry trends, leading to them falling behind the curve.
Overly concerned with budgeting and time code charging, leading to the impression that the company is extremely unstable financially.
The early career experience here is overwhelmingly negative, it's clear that this is not a priority. There is little in the way of mentorship or professional development, outside of a shady tuition reimbursement program for grad school.
No employee retention initiatives, and for the region and industry, the pay scales are extremely deflated compared to other engineering firms, which leads to their apparent bleeding of staff to competitors. It's fairly difficult to have a comfortable living in Colorado as expensive as it is on this salary.
