Pros

BCPL provides many opportunities for continuing education workshops. Participates in MD state teachers pension. Generous vacation/sick leave. Looks out for employees. Encourages innovative ideas for programming and services from staff and implements. Most employees are genuine advocates for members of the communities they serve. Has really looked out for employees’ safety and protected their jobs during COVID while balancing as many services, traditional and reimagined, for the public.

Cons

Sometimes it can take a while to get projects launched for such a large system and communication can lag sometimes.
