Helping the persons served is amazing. There will be some challenging moments, but when they are happy and thankful it makes it worth it.

Cons

The salaries here can definitely be a downside. You need to really advocate for yourself to move up.

Pros

The employees are dedicated, compassionate and working there for the right reasons. There's a vision for growth focused on meeting the demand for services by a growing population of people with IDD

Cons

The challenge of providing excellent services funded by state and federal government with low to no increases in nearly a decade and providing employees with raises and benefits and fair pay is a huge challenge.

decent pay and benefits, working with people with disabilities

Cons

The overriding culture is to put money before people. Firings happen without notice to reduce costs. The work is for vulnerable people, but they remove seasoned experienced employees to replace them with entry level people, it is just not safe for the individuals served.
