Bank OZK is a terrible place to work. The company culture is demeaning, demanding, degrading and deplorable. The management is autocratic and does not care about you as a person or employee. At the branch level they have two primary goals: Sell customers as many products as possible that they do not need and loan generation. Immense sales focus with very small Houston footprint. Houston branch staff is a revolving door. Senior leadership in Houston does not care about you or support you. Executive leadership in Arkansas is autocratic and provides little support. This is just a bad company to work for. Low pay, horrible culture, terrible management, inferior systems, insufficient training, no work/life balance, very bad company culture, delipidated branches.
