There are many growth opportunities within the company if you are willing to work hard. My job at Bank of the Ozarks is not just a job but a career. My co-workers are more like family than just someone I work with. Excellence in everything we do as a company is a value that is expected and encourage from top management to the back office. I am very proud to be a part of the No. 1 bank in the US for several years in a row.

1. I work with amazing people who are a pleasure. 2. We are doing challenging work in a department that is highly motivated to succeed. 3. There is a great energy and we are growing - you can feel the success. 4. I feel like I am making a difference as a part of the team at this bank. 5. They have very solid benefits including 401k and insurance.

Cons

I have no cons that I can think of, maybe better coffee.

A Good Bank on the verge of being a Great Bank.

Pros

Managers and Staff are given a high degree of autonomy to sink or swim with their programs. Resources are being deployed, and new Programs are being built across the Bank to improve in areas that need it. Great work life balance. A focus on performance rather than talk - so the dead weight doesn't stay too long.

Cons

Not a lot of feed back in the form of detailed Performance Reviews, mostly informal - so you don't know exactly how secure your job is. Short Term Incentives (Cash Bonus) are not given for the work already done. Long Term Incentives (Stock Options) for the work already done have a 3 Year vesting period. Certain people are in roles that they aren't really qualified or suited for.
