Pros

Health insurance: it's great. That's pretty much it. Depending on your race: non-koreans get better treatment since management tend to not physically yell at them due to a culture barrier. I guess I'm learning a lot since there's a lack of official training and you're expected to learn and figure things out by yourself with zero guidance?

Cons

Too many... Because there's so much turnover, many people who've stayed at the company for years (toxic, bitter people who've been underpaid and mistreated for years) are in management positions. Thankfully, company is trying to expand beyond its korean culture and hiring more diverse (i.e., american) into upper management positions, but that effect hasn't really trickled down. Very asian system: historically traditional and hierachical. Senior people will always act like they're right without rationale. People at the company seem to dislike their jobs but won't leave. Lots of logistical issues since the company grew this size only due to numerous mergers and acquisitions, instead of a natural growth. Work/life balance highly dependent on manager/department. Same for toxicity level. Highly underpays employees. Raises are 1-3% but when based on an extremely low pay, means nothing.

Pros

Health insurance-literally that is all

Cons

The work environment is extremely toxic. Not only do the managers not care about you, but when they make a mistake and it costs you they expect you to just be okay with it. A lot of the employees who work here acknowledge that work environment is pernicious but have been conditioned to accept the abusive treatment. Moreover, the system is so hierarchical that if you are at a lower level they basically treat however they see fit and expect you to treat them with respect and be submissive AT ALL TIMES. There is a reason why the company struggles with such high turnover rates and negative reviews. I was considered to be at a “better department” but it is basically comparing trash to trash. The lack of progressiveness and consideration of the employees has been the root of this company’s problem. I would just like to say consider other options, steer away from this company. Your well-being is much more valuable than what this UNDERPAYING job can offer you.
