Pros

Banner provides excellent resources to help leaders be successful in their position including a 5 day "new leader experience." Banner promotes individual growth within the system and truly appears to value the voice of the staff and leader as evidence by annual voice surveys that are used to gage staff engagement and overall happiness with Banner as an employer.

Cons

While Banner does have great resources to assist leaders and staff the enormous amount of work is not feasible to maintain. Average week for a Banner leader is in excess of 65 to 70 hours. Work life balance is not feasible resulting in leader burnout. Frequent change in leadership is noted as a direct result.

Pros

I like the flexibility of being with staffing and the pay is a little higher. I enjoy going to different hospitals.

Cons

During the summer you can get called off a lot and it's hard to get enough hours to make it. Some weeks I had no work at all.
