      Ok Place to work, but be prepared for a several rounds of layoff

      Decent benefits, medical and 401K Competitive salary compared to other wall street firms Flexible work hours Good brand name Ability to move to Asia or Europe

      Cons

      Very difficult to get promoted or get a raise unless you are politically connected or you at the time of hire. Bureaucracy and frequent management changes They over-hire and then layoff (non merit related) Multiple teams develop the same things in parallel, only for job security Ones gets dissatisfied soon because growth is limited

      Ambitious headline program of work. Goal to be top wealth manager within 5 years. Central location within New York City.

      Cons

      Accountability absent. Lots of deadwood. Management focused on tactical issues and not leading to execute the strategic vision. Social employer.

      Good remote working arrangements are available.

      Cons

      If there isn't a predefined set of processes and procedures, it doesn't get done. The company is paralyzed. No one is allowed (even senior managers) to react without proper approval.
