Pros

Refer to cons. I have nothing good to say.

Cons

Before receiving employment at Bartlett, management had planned the intention of doing my internship as the appropriate semester came forward. This was discussed after getting a letter of recommendation from my professor. I begun employment right before hurricane Helene came about, while also enduring intense heat. When the time came to sign me off on my grounds man work and promote me as well as raise my pay, I was delayed and denied every step of the way. I was told I was not cape able over and over, though my experience within the field would strongly suggest otherwise. I competed in a college arboriculture competition and beat UGA, Auburn, Colorado state, Kansas state etc. I had 5 years of experience in the field before that. The company hired a new guy with absolutely no experience and decided to sign him off on his groundsman work, though I had been there 3 months longer and was given scuttle duty every time. I brought this to the attention of the managers and was fired in doing so. I referenced my degree, certifications experience etc. The same boss who fired me is the same one who told me it will be hard for me as a woman in the field. Matt was a terrible manager who created a highschool petty like environment. I was constantly held back due to my gender. After the fired me management refused to give me new certifications i earned while with the company. I had to contact corporate. Furthermore I was fired the first day of my semester. The day my internship started. Considering i had been with the company for months at this point, the act was intentional. After being belittled by management and other workers without management stepping in to do there jobs while also doing taxing manual labor and very little pay with the unlikeliness to be promoted this job was terrible. Especially as a woman.
