Pros

Good management, raises based on merit, working outdoors, great clients, fun and exciting work albeit physically demanding. Co-workers are an awesome set of people very diverse and all types of characters. The office will occasionally buy the employees food or take them out for some kind of team building event which was always fun. The company as a whole is extremely professional and certainly is a great place to work as an arborist.

Cons

Benefits are not that great. PTO doesn't start for a year! Work is based on commissions for the sales reps which ultimately drives the hourly guys to be overworked, but there is plenty of overtime.

Tasks were extremely simple as they were repetitive.

Cons

Company is run as though it were still in the 1960s with respect to their treatment of women. We were to be 'seen and not heard'. Definitely male dominated decision making on all aspects of the job.

Pros

Though every office is different, and I can only speak for mine, I've had some great learning opportunities working with guys that have been in the field for decades. We typically try to wrap up our days at 3:00, and the medical benefits are actually pretty great.

Cons

Very poor management puts the production crews in frustrating situations, poor communication when it comes to management as well. Hours get VERY scarce in the winter.
