Pros

The unlimited PTO was a pro and some people were helpful when I had questions

Cons

I had an awful experience in bootcamp. The VP and Director I reported to was not helpful at all. I was referred to so call training material on the server when I had a question. When I followed the instructions of the training material I would get reprimanded due to inaccuracy. My time at Basis was absolutely terrible!!!

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that your bootcamp experience didn’t meet your expectations and that you faced challenges with support and training. I know how important it is for new hires to feel supported, especially during the initial training period, and we’ve put a lot of effort into our onboarding programs. We’ll definitely review our training materials and support systems to better serve future employees. I'm glad you found our Flexible Time Off program and your colleagues helpful. Your insights are invaluable as we work to improve the new hire experience. Thanks again for your time with us, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Pros

I met some wonderful and helpful people on other teams and pods! They were really nice and always willing to help when needed. It made my time with this company a little less painful. There are some good benefits. The unlimited PTO and monthly payment towards your student loans was great.

Cons

The training material on the shared drive is extremely outdated!! You are expected to refer to documents that have not been updated in several years. I was actually reprimanded for asking to many questions and not referencing outdated material on the shared drive. Then you are required to participate in a boot camp that takes place over a week. This may or may not relate to your job. Once you complete the boot camp. You are once again required to participate in another testing atmosphere. I think it was called the gauntlet. You are trained on outdated material and some material the senior level is not familiar with. After training you are scheduled for a group testing day. Where senior level ad ops will ask you different questions . You expected to answer correctly. Some of the questions may include the material you went over or it may not. A lot of the questions included situations my team (my team was not part of or setup for PODS) did not encounter. I was so excited to work at Basis Technologies! I was looking forward to a long career there, but once in the machine. That excitement was quickly smothered once I started training. I realized there were/are many major flawless within the machine. There were members on the senior level management team that did not practice or display the company values AT ALL! I did not receive the support I needed from my Director or VP. My time at Basis was stressful and very disappointing and I started to hate logging on to work from my own home.
