Pros

Small team working in an agile environment, flex hours and vacation, competitive salary, free lunches and breakfasts occasionally, willing to give you real responsibility

Cons

My experience is skewed - I was told I would be working on digital forensics software, but ended up working on the testing suite the entire time. I did not end up working on what I was told I would or what I signed up for, so I was rather disappointed.

Pros

Basis is filled with great people. The benefits are good and it's near the T. Some of the work done at Basis is very exciting. Overall it's a good place to work. It's a life-style company meaning that many come to work just for work and are eager to leave.

Cons

Basis has been around for awhile but has not seen much growth. The company tends to move slowly. Some of the work done at Basis is not very exciting. It's a life-style company meaning that many come to work just for work and are eager to leave.

Pros

Physical work environments are modern with all conveniences. Good locations. Co-workers are generally interesting and friendly. Employees are treated well as long as the position they hold is deemed necessary for the company (see "Cons" if that changes).

Cons

Management tends to mislead employees about direction/health of company. Also, once it decides someone has served their purpose, it has been known to terminate without notice and/or explanation, and even has done so without severance pay for an employee who had worked there for over a decade. So, there is an atmosphere of paranoia about whom might be next to get the axe without warning.
