Some managers pay very little if any attention to the few employee's who work very hard and stay for years. Younger short term employee's who fail to 'get it' and never seem to be interested in doing much work get all the accolades and awards from management, hard to figure. This does not imply that all department managers operate this way, most are great bosses, and a pleasure to work for, a few are very hard to communicate with due to personal issues I suppose. Its retail, and a high pace environment, so its sink or swim, I know pay will be low as it is in most retail.

Corporate lacks structure and there is lots of infighting and one ups man ship because of it. They are drinking their own kool aid as to how "different" they are vs other companies. Not so much unless you mean less structure and therefore having to do things several different ways depending on what member of leadership whats today. Pricing structure is high and they bank on the unique experience to command it. In short a good old boys network where who you know is more important than ability. Its a shame because they could be run so much better.
