      Pros

      Like any organization, it is as good as its people, and Battelle has very bright, dedicated, and creative employees. The philanthropic nature of its profit structure creates a sense of pride an purpose with every task and the pay is generous.

      Cons

      Upper management tends to maintain a "circle the wagons" business approach to looming government budget cuts instead of investing and exploring new business outside its comfort zone. The current management structure is heavy on top; the chain of command can be a bit fuzzy at times.

      Pros

      Battelle is a great place for junior and beginning workers to get experience in procurement in a variety of different projects. Procurement personnel will get hands on experience dealing with vendors and managing projects

      Cons

      There is not a lot of movement once you are in a position and no flexibility to learn new roles in different departments which would only benefit the company. There are a lot of politics that are played and communication does not work well which leads to rumors and paranoid workers.

      Pros

      -Flexibility in work schedule. -Salary. -Excluding senior management, a very talented group of people to work alongside.

      Cons

      -Way, way, way too top heavy. -Constant, unnecessary stress of looming reductions in staff as a result of very poor management skills. -Little room for advancement. -Poor opportunities for training. -Extremely and overly bureaucratic, so much so, to the point of intefering with actual work.
