I am proud to work for a company that stands by their mission to give back to the community and bring discovery to the masses. Coworkers are kind, helpful and driven towards a shared goal of success. Battelle will match up to $10K annually to your favorite eligible charities. New discoveries are encouraged, and you can submit ideas for research.

Cons

Not a downside in my opinion, but this is a company of go-getters. You are going to succeed farther here if you bring solutions to management instead of waiting for them to point out a problem.

Some of the benefits are that it is a non profit company, so it is not a very stressful job. We have a 9/80 work week which is great and flex time.

Cons

The way the company is structured (as non profit) gives no room to do ANYTHING unless you can charge it to a project. Training is not existent, you can't spend time trying to enhance your knowledge of the task you are working since "there is no budget for that". People are taken out of projects right at the middle due to budget issues and leave a hole that the rest have to fill. Each year they keep cutting benefits.
