Pros

Provides flexible working hours, accommodating shifts between 6 am and 6 pm. Offers an opportunity to collaborate with a highly diverse team, promoting cross-cultural understanding and enhancing teamwork skills. Presents a dynamic platform to observe and engage with a broad spectrum of cutting-edge technology. Facilitates robust interpersonal interactions with various individuals, bolstering communication and networking skills. Offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with government personnel in research, development, and system investigation, fostering public-private sector collaboration skills. Provides exposure to various tasks beyond the regular scope of expertise, nurturing versatile skill sets and encouraging continuous learning.

Cons

Certain positions might necessitate early start times, occasionally as early as 6 am. The work environment is often fast-paced, with high-demand tasks and projects frequently requiring immediate attention and rapid completion. In this contractual role, there can sometimes be ambiguity between the government and the company regarding responsibility for employee needs and requirements. Role clarity can occasionally be unclear, with responsibilities shifting according to the needs of the client. This dynamic nature can sometimes contribute to a challenging work environment and unanticipated demands. There can be instances where upper management exhibits reluctance towards streamlining approval processes, communication, and task organization. This can occasionally lead to increased workloads, communication discrepancies, and last-minute alterations. The onboarding process might be perceived as lacking, with limited initial training provided upon commencement of the role. There can occasionally be lapses in communication between management and team members, which may lead to unexpected changes in roles and responsibilities without prior notification to all relevant parties. There is sometimes a perceptible disconnect and lack of support from managers at the company's headquarters, leading to potential challenges in executing tasks and achieving goals. No sick leave

Pros

Good benefits and the work itself is important and contributes something back. Tries to keep a foothold in staying relevant with technical and scientific work.

Cons

Shady hiring practices and reposting of the same jobs after many applicants wait many months to hear nothing only for the jobs to get reposted and their followers like the posts on LinkedIn and Facebook, for instance.
