Pros

I've had a few other jobs in the past, and this one exceeds them all by a mile. Start-up life is very fast paced and is always changing, and management has done an outstanding job of hiring a staff whom are ready for the challenge. Each employee is not only the best at their respective positions, but they're a pleasure to work with every day. The common goal of growing the business is felt throughout the office, and each employee plays an integral role in doing so. You feel that every position is important to the prosperity of the company, and each person can walk into work every morning knowing they're going to make a difference. It's the best! We meet as an entire office every week, which keeps everyone informed on the projects and plans that are going on. It's inspiring to work for a company that wants everyone to be a part of everything. Hearing and seeing everything come to fruition is motivating, and keeps the entire team focused on the bigger picture. Start-up companies tend to have long hours, and high demand to always be in the office. The work/life balance here is really great though. Even when extra hours are put in around the holiday time (which tends to be the most hectic time of the year for business), it's not only recognized but is rewarded and greatly appreciated. Also, discounts on jewelry, bagel Mondays, candy jars, and happy hours after work are always motivation to be great at your job!

Cons

There are VERY few cons about working here. The ones I can think of can be cons for some, but pros for others: We're growing out of our office (which is only a good sign), which causes for a lack of private meeting spaces. Start-up companies are like a big puzzle, which has hundreds and thousands of pieces. We're always thinking on our toes for new ways to make business flow smoothly, and always problem solving/troubleshooting issues that we come across. You need to be ready for a dynamic environment, and always be ready to learn - no two days are the same here! Usually when you come across a new issue, you have to be responsible for finding the solution without much guidance. This can be a huge undertaking!

Pros

BaubleBar is the most collaborative environment I have ever worked in. Everyone values each others opinions, and that has been made clear to me from day one. No matter what your position or level is, you have a voice in this company. Which is amazing, especially because BaubleBar is definitely going places. It is so exciting to work at a company that constantly reports growth, and has such brand and customer loyalty. Additionally, everyone here is friendly. From my first day, my team as well as others have made an effort to learn my name and get to know me. It is also such a fun place to work. Every week without fail there is a celebration of some kind. We have weekly meetings with the entire team, and you can tell everyone just likes each other. Additionally, the benefits in terms of free and discounted jewelry are amazing. It is clear that management wants to make sure that the employees are and stay happy! Yes, you work hard, and sometimes we are working late, but if you love the brand (which we all do), it is worth it.

Cons

- Yes, the office space is small and we are growing out of it. But, we are growing, so that is exciting

Pros

- Great atmosphere, fun + hardworking team. - You'll have a chance to impact real change and make a difference in a growing brand. - It's a fun brand to work on and there is a great employee discount (50% + a monthly jewelry allowance for full-time team members.) - Collaborative environment... everyone's opinions matter. I've worked for three big companies before this job and BaubleBar has been the most collaborative by far. - Lots of snacks. (TOO MANY snacks.) - Vacation time. Employees are rewarded generously for their time. After 3 years with the company, you will receive four weeks of vacation. - Learning opportunities, great career development. Employees are encouraged to take classes to aid in their personal development; covered by the company. There are also opportunities to move around within the company based upon your passions + talents. In my time with the company I've seen several team members transition to entirely new roles within the company (i.e. going from Web Production to Product Development, or from Customer Service to marketing, etc.) - The company is flexible + open minded. After nearly 4 years with the company, I was able to transition down to a part time role this year; and several employees who had been with the company for a long time have been allowed to work remotely upon moving and/or take on consulting positions. - You can impact areas of the business that aren't necessarily a part of your regular day to day responsibilities (for example, if you work in Marketing but have ideas for Product Development, they want to hear them and will listen if you can back your ideas up.)

Cons

- Things move very fast here. This is a pro for some people (for me, I love it - I came from a very corporate background where decisions were made very slowly and it's nice to be able to move quickly and impact the business... but if you aren't able to juggle several different things at once, + think quickly, this company isn't for you.) - The startup environment is definitely not for everyone. If you want to leave your job at 5pm and not think about it until the next day, this company (or frankly, any startup!) is not for you. - Growing pains... sometimes there's a lack of communication between teams, and better processes need to be implemented across the board (i.e. reviews) - Office space. The company is growing and it's tight. It's also very hard to get a conference room if you have a meeting. - Hiring. The company is growing quickly and needs to hire against that (especially on the tech/engineering sides.) - Holidays are crazy. November + December are very intense; but it can be exhilarating if you're passionate about it. Things are getting better though, this year was a big improvement vs. years past.
