      Pros

      Separating the two divisions into separate companies will allow each side to be more responsive to their business.

      Cons

      The company is going through a lot of changes and ambiguity to split since this is new to most employees. I think the company took on too many initiatives at once -- splitting, restructuring function groups, and streamlining processes. The company would have been more effective if it focused on one thing major initiative at a time.

      Pros

      The employee stock purchase program is very good!! My department allows us to work from home multiple times per week. Also some team members are allowed to work from other Baxter offices if needed to accommodate their schedule.

      Cons

      Offices are far north. A lot of employees. It might be easy to get lost in the crowd it is imperative to have a manager/team that's fosters your development.

      Highly dynamic workplace, interesting work, intellectually stimulating. Very competitive additional benefits - Bank (BCU) with great service and conditions, health plan and 401k plan

      Cons

      Often too formalistic (too many corporate procedures and SOPs), slow in decision making and funding of business initiatives. Communication technology needs to be overhauled.
