Pros

Great Workplace Flexibility, no dress code, great pay.

Cons

Baxter is in a state of continual reorganization of it's business. There is no security for long term growth. They brought on a new CEO for streamlining the business (severancing employees). The culture is awful - there is a perpetual state of fear of being severanced. They have revamped their severance package and it is now less than 3 years ago. Upper management does not care about employees. 401K is matching only 3%. Yearly raises are 2-3 % for good work. Lots of partiality shown towards certain groups. Does not pay for certification classes, will not pay for textbooks to learn on your own. Management very old schooled. No consistency throughout technologies.

Pros

Decent pay if you are a worker bee. Can't think of anything else positive to say.

Cons

Senior management at local facility are completely out for themselves and promoting their own careers, at the expense of those below them. Worst culture in that regard than I've ever experienced in 40 years of work. They consistently entice you but never come through on their promises. Corporate is only after pleasing the shareholders and demand perfection of the folks on the production floor. If you have any skills whatsoever, avoid this place. You will be underpaid, manipulated, lied to and under pressure constantly.

Pros

Big company with good job security. Lots of entry level positions. Lots of chances promotions and mobility.

Cons

Non-competitive employment rates. Management doesn't seem to care, I know dozens of people who who are awaiting overdue pay raises, some even waiting longer than 2 months. Not a bad place to start to get experience, but I would never recommend the work environment to anyone. Accountability isn't what it should be, instead of trying to fix issues they pinpoint easy excuses and people to use as scapegoats. The bureaucracy is horrible, needs to be streamlined and more organized.
