Pros

-Talented and dedicated coworkers who work hard despite the pressures from management -Strong sense of ownership at the frontline; people step up when things break -Knowledgeable scientists and engineers who are passionate about the work they do but underpaid

Cons

- Leadership fails to advocate for teams. Decisions made elsewhere routinely disrupted operations, and frontline teams were expected to absorb the fallout. -Success routinely depended on frontline employees going above and beyond to compensate for broken systems. Instead of fixing root causes, leadership appeared to expect constant heroics as the default operating model. -Burnout is normalized, 6-day work weeks were mandatory. Long-term stress and fatigue were treated as acceptable, not as warning signs. Recovery time was rare, and morale steadily declined.

Pros

Good exposure to manufacturing environment

Cons

In my experience, I found the management approach challenging. Feedback was often delivered in a critical manner, which could feel discouraging rather than constructive. Opportunities for open dialogue or upward feedback were limited, and constructive criticism was not consistently received positively, including at senior levels. Raising concerns could lead to being singled out or experiencing negative repercussions, which created a culture where employees were hesitant to speak openly. The workplace could feel impersonal at times, with employees feeling more like resources than individuals. Compensation did not feel aligned with the level of responsibility and workload expected.

Pros

- Saving lives - Loved what I did - Salary

Cons

SLT could care less about their employees. They can smooth talk but everyone is disposable. Numerous HR on site but don't waster your time because for the one or 2 that aren't corrupt they lay low to keep a job. No morals exist at Baxter anymore. They knew they were going to have to let a large part of the workforce go at the end of last year, made people sign NDA's even, and then blindsided their employees with termination. Not to mention NEVER file an ethics and compliance report or escalate concerns. No matter what they tell you retaliation will come! I-Care is their slogan but you honestly can't care anymore because if you do it will tear you up inside to see all the wrong doing, procedures broken and blind eyes turned. Good luck to those that remain.

Thank you for sharing your perspective and for your many years of service. We appreciate your dedication to work that makes a difference for patients and recognize the frustration and disappointment reflected in your comments. Workforce changes and times of uncertainty can be especially difficult for long‑tenured employees who care deeply about their work and colleagues. Your feedback underscores the importance of trust, transparency, ethical leadership, and valuing people as individuals. Perspectives like yours are important as we continue to reflect, learn, and work toward strengthening our culture and leadership practices. Thank you again for the contributions you made during your time at Baxter.
