Pros

Decent benefits. Pay is alright but not great, don't expect to get bonuses. Management tries to be proactive about company issues, however the results are usually questionable at best.

Cons

If you are a member of the field staff, be prepared to be treated as a second class employee that is nothing more than a tool to be sent wherever and whenever you are needed with no questions or input about whether your personal schedule can accommodate the work. Emergency response work lands on a select few staff every time, regardless of whether other on-call staff are available. If you are a field staff, be prepared to be pulled into all kinds of industrial cleaning projects.

Pros

Not many. The field staffs are good people. Some office people are nice, but oblivious to everything else.

Cons

High turn over, new field staffs every years. Don't expect management to keep any promises they made you when they hire you. Field staffs are 2nd class citizens. Office have low cubical, chest height. Everyone can see everyone without getting up. No career advancement. Expect lateral movement, different work, same pay. Expect to be on-call 24/7 for a week for very little compensation ($50). Everyone will be on-called, but you will get called all the time. You can go from working over 40 hours a week to zero hours a week. The work is really random. Contract work, so no contracts = no work. Prepare to work weekend/odd hours. Sometimes, you will work in other states for weeks. Weekend work for regular pay. Sometimes, 16 hours a days and sometimes 4 hours a day or zero hour. There are very little work in the the winter (no matter what you'd been told). Expect the manager to use you when busy and throw you away when work slow down. The managers don't really care, you have to find your own work within the company during slow period. I'd seen other staffs who are full time employee with no work for weeks. Poor communication between departments. If you are a field staff, expect to be blame for everything.

Pros

Bay West does a good job of hiring friendly people to work with, and offers a good deal of benefits with their package.

Cons

If you are a field tech you will be working with, and exposed to hazardous waste on a regular basis. If you work in the office, not so much.
