Pros

Diversity, cross training, working closely with people all over the world. Putting out fires, welcoming guests from the world around. Making travel arrangements, hotels, group transportation, entertainment, etc.

Cons

Working with incompetent people who are lazy and who miss their opportunity to learn and grow in the company.

Pros

*Company's philosophy is centered around making life better for people on a global scale *Office facilities are modern *Ergonomics are taken seriously - getting equipment like standing desks/specialized mouse/ etc is encouraged *Casual atmosphere both in dress and culture - it is completely normal to address everyone by first name regardless of their level *Development of employees professionally is taken very seriously - there are programs structured around it and getting resources like training/job rotation/etc is well supported *Internal employees are given first notice and preference for job openings *Heavily invested in maintaining IT functions internally and opposed to outsourcing anything except for low-skilled tasks *Pittsburgh location is outside of the city center, borders a large county park, and also borders one of the largest retail areas in the region

Cons

*Salary is very middle-of-the-road *Several re-organizations internally within the past few years *Company was very siloed for many years and that mentality/culture is taking a while to phase out *Staffing is very tight and contractors rarely get hired on as full-time employees

Pros

Good career opportunities for individuals willing to put in the effort. Also has some of the strongest benefits I've seen in the region.

Cons

Stale and bureaucratic work environment. Typical large company feel, management is very disconnected from the employee base.
