Pros

Global role Good exposure to executive management Growth development

Cons

Lack of sleep Extreme anxiety Extreme nepotism Turn over - people leave often Leadership is contentious with each other Leadership mixed messaging to perform/deliver more but you need cut more resources, yet we need you to maintain work life balance Lack of alignment despite all of the alignment meetings No recognition for lower level teammates Leadership taking credit for other teammates work Even with the workshops on people’s strengths and how best to utilize; teammates are still told to “stay in their lane” discouraging performance and innovation which leads to performers leaving Middle Managment lacking Life 2.0 skills Managers divulging private information Demotivating - Manager toxicity - using visa/green card contracts, growth wants, or transition to another team against you. Fervently giving you bad feedback where there was none before. Turf war between Germany and United States

Pros

Pay, benefits, global systems, workforce (not inclusive of management or union labor)

Cons

RUN AWAY! Positive reviews on GlassDoor were engineered be PUblic Policy department to improve results of internal bi-annual survey.. This place is not for fighting the wind mills. This employer's practices will crush your soul, strip you of any dignity, make you re-define workplace ethics, coerce you to sleep your way to influential assignments. HR biases permeates every facet of Berkeley Site professional life, makes cultural change impossible. Cold hearted disregard of CFRs and cover up of GMP violations by middle and upper management is rampant, it is the true root cause of chronic contaminations and loss of product potency. Employees who try to "Do the right thing" are chased out of the organization in blood-curdling fashion. Back-stabing, visious gossip, old boys network, German upper management evaluates CA employees the way one would look down at an ant hill.

Pros

Used to have a great culture. Used to include many diverse hybrid roles and promoted within but that ship has sailed.

Cons

Where do I start; Senior level leaders take the roles from their direct reports. (Keeping things classy); There is no process to anything internal; Bayer is cheap and does not like to spend the money on internal infrastructure; culture is poor; the pipeline is sad for US Pharma; they require the HQ folks to come to the office 3 days per week and hybrid roles have gone away; their secretive and not transparent even though they claim different; benefits are expensive; stock prices are an all time low: they cut dividends; financial outcome of the organization is bleak; our Annual Hq bonus are getting less and less; merit increases are not great ; long term incentives have lost 60k every year; DSO is a joke- it didn’t work when it was done at Genentech yet BA thinks it’s going to be great; lots of job eliminations that don’t seem to end; 5 waves of 90 day job cuts; too much back door decisions being made by the same people that made these poor decisions originally that landed us in the position they are in- no very intelligent!
