Pros

Working for an international company, you might have the opportunity to move to different countries. The salaries are very good. When they had to reduce the workforce they did so in a very humane way, giving generous severance packages and several months notice. I think they have a decent sense of corporate ethics both socially and environmentally.

Cons

Bayer is now entangled with a wave of Roundup lawsuits, at a relatively vulnerable time when they have spent a lot of cash to acquire Monsanto

Thank you for your more than 10 years of service with Bayer. We value the contributions you and our employees around the world make to achieve our mission Science for a Better Life. We also believe in transparency, which is why we have created a website with facts and information about glyphosate www.bayer.com/glyphosate. Best of luck on your next journey!

Pros

It was a wild ride, but the company cared, paid well and gave me more opportunities than I could have hoped for. I miss it - but the writing was on the wall with my area and Bayer. After being away for 2 years, I know there will never be another company that was so impactful.

Cons

Can't speak for Bayer, but it could be a bit much with favoritism and politics. Some of the tactics around people mgmt./development was childish. "If you were in a boat, who would you pick to be with you...." Haha.
