As we shift toward a more open, dynamic system, a reality is that the reduction in bureaucracy and hierarchy may result in fewer jobs. This is not something we take lightly. While we’re moving quickly to implement our new system, it will take time for these changes to be felt throughout the organization and externally. This won’t happen overnight. Any change of this scale requires tough questions, challenging decisions, and some temporary discomfort, including some changes to reduce layers and simplify our structures. We’re aiming to have everyone at Bayer operating in the DSO model by the end of 2024.
