Cons

Little to no training or support for management positions. Constant addition of job responsibilities without any increase in pay or change in billable requirement. Very high turnover.

Long hours with poor pay, no breaks including no lunch break (they expect you to take lunch when you’re driving between your clients houses), abhorrent “therapy” methods that are abusive and traumatizing for children, and not accommodating to people with disabilities or health problems. Definitely do not recommend.

Beacon delivers a safe, inclusive, and welcoming experience for children, families, and employees. It is our mission to provide individuals with quality behavioral healthcare that is responsive to the individual needs of families of children with Autism. Our treatment programs are developmentally appropriate and supported by empirically validated peer-reviewed research. Additionally, we have resources in place for employees to share feedback. I had no idea a position like this existed and I'm so glad I applied even though I though I wouldn't be qualified. The training process is fantastic, I've received so much support from my team since I began, and now have a clear path to becoming a BCBA! Pay is hourly, but the rates are good. Reasonable benefits and the new PTO has been a nice bonus. I love my clients, we have some tough days, but the happy faces and measurable progress is what this position is really about!
