Pros

Work from home opportunities and early release Fridays for *some*

Cons

- Gaslighting starts from the interview process all the way through to the end of your career - Major layoffs! It appears they’re just hiring to fill an investor quota and they laying off at the 90 day mark! - Overload of work even though they promise a work life balance - They pitch 1/2 day Fridays year round but I never had one. When I brought it up to my direct report he chuckled and goes “yeah! I’ve never had a early release Friday” - Their health insurance was TERRIBLE! Especially if you’re thinking of a family plan. When I got on the benefit plan people were in shock when they said the biweekly amount that needed to be paid. We even had a lady ask if it was a mistake and if that was the monthly amount - I was let go with no written warning - Communication was awful! My direct report scolded me on teams saying I never followed up with him or completed my tasks after I followed up same day and accomplished all tasks required! HE WAS THE ONE who messed up and missed my message! There were multiple instances that appeared to seem like everyone was pointing the finger at one another with no responsibility. You can definitely sense tension throughout the team. - I was told how great I was doing and got assigned the largest close the company has ever handled and after I finished the close I was let go with no warning. I hopped on my weekly touch base to be told I was being terminated for “performance.” I was SHOCKED! I even followed up with HR asking how this happened and if they could site any situations as to why I was being let go and just got the short response of “due to performance” I have NEVER been terminated from a company and any previous employer would tell you I’m one of the hardest working employees they’ve had. - HR was impossible to get in touch with after being let go. I would send an email 1-2 times a day and leave voicemails with no response for 12 days until I added higher ups in the company. - The training process was terrible! They have absolutely no policies and procedures in place and by week 2 I was being asked to put together training guides for processes that no one seemed to know what to do. - Transparency was non existent. My direct report was always encouraging me and saying how great I was doing and then would flip a switch a day later towards the end. - My direct report also took 2 separate vacations while I was in my 90 day trial period and had me assisting with not only my portfolio that I was just learning/ getting up to speed with but also working on reporting that hadn’t been filed online in months for his portfolio. - I worked so many late nights/ hours with absolutely no appreciation - Any suggestion that I made to create process efficiencies was shut down. -I was also told during my interview that they cover maternity leave 100% which they don’t! They just allow you to apply for FMLA. I expressed my desire to have more children and I honestly believe that that factored into why I was being let go. As much as they preach work life balance when talking to other mothers at the corporate outing they all expressed that they felt pressured to come back after 3 months and could not take extended leave as they felt it was frowned upon.
