Pros

These are the biggest and best engineering and construction projects in the world. There is a serious interest from Project Management for the work done by Project Controls.

Cons

Too many times you identify something dumb that we do, you take it up the chain, get agreement that it's dumb, but then are told, "It's just the way we do it here". There is always talk of how we want to be more nimble, flexible, but never any real discussion of how a large company is going to do that.

Pros

- Opportunity to work on some of the largest projects - Great place to launch a career - Job is relatively stable unlike some competing EPC companies - Good 401K and benefits (4 weeks vacation)

Cons

- The management recognizes talent but pay is not tied to reviews - Favoritism (this happens at most places) - Poor leveraging of technology - Value years of experience over all else - Take people for granted, better pay for new hires than existing employees
