Cons

They will blindside you by terminating your employment when least suspected. Eventhough you can follow all rules, perform to your due diligence as expected; it wont lower your chances of layoff. If you have a family, mortgage, cars, and young kids, DO NOT PUT THE FATE OF YOUR FAMILY IN THEIR HANDS, especially if you're a minority. Work for a union or some other organization that has job security.

The CEO wants to bring the company into the future and modernize it for current and future employees.

Cons

Just such a horrible place, I'd hate to relive the details and write it out... My experience is of my own, but is becoming a common occurrence with other employees. There truly is a disconnect here that is driving away young talent and repelling any new talent from coming in. One of the biggest issues is how people are treated and viewed. In order for real progress to happen, the blame game needs to end and complete honesty before any action should occur. This company has the potential to turn around, but It is lacking the CEO and employee dialog. and being buffered by higher-ups. Focus on the people first, then strategy. Remove the few people standing in the way of the company's success in dealing with its employees the right way.
