Pros

Good company to work for when there is prospect for work

Cons

When there is very little prospect, there is a lot of backdoor politics, Favoritism is running high and it is not always the best people who survive the cuts. Mid management is notorious in laying off older and experienced people and promote younger and well connected employees.

Pros

Have only worked there a very short time, so no real positives

Cons

Making mass redundancies and automatically making those with less time spent at Bechtel redundant. Not sympathetic to difficult personal situation if made redundant. Managers do not try to inform or provide enough information to employees.

- Great training opportunities - Private company, not worried about pay cuts to please shareholders. - Friendly managers - Laid back atmosphere if there arent immediate deadlines - Participating in challenging international projects that will add a lot of knowledge and experience -
