Pros

This is a great company to work for. They are team oriented and always focused on the customer. They work hard to make sure the customer has the best experience.

Cons

We are always understaffed. And yet, we can't get more hours. The training is great at first but becomes negligible after 6 months. I've had to figure out a lot on my own. Plus trying to help the customer, focus on Beyond orders, focus on Beyond +, and trying to put things away and organize and clean the store - it's overwhelming.

Pros

Laid back environment. Good cafeteria. An array of teas and coffee. I've been here for a little over 6 months and already looking to move on. They do not care about employee retention. Stay away if you want growth. No method to the madness here!

Cons

I was fooled by this company. In the interview they made it seem like a great place to work. They said that you would be able to achieve growth and that their training was great! Lies! No one has even attempted to even brief me on any procedures. I have been learning the job on my own. This is highly inefficient and counter productive. Any good manager knows that proper training results in fewer errors, employee confidence and higher productivity. Each company operates differently and has different procedures. Training is important regardless of experience. Also, I noticed that employees here are quick to point out each others mistakes and throw each other under the bus with errors. If you're desperate for a job this company will do. If you want a long term career then look elsewhere. I work at the corporate office in Union NJ. I have been here for 7 months as of March and I'm still lost! When I ask questions everyone acts as thought they're too busy or they don't know the answer themselves. Pure foolishness!

Positive retail environment.

Pros

Clear cut performance expectations. Quality product and customer service training plans. Pretty good work/life balance (much better than Kmart, Walmart, Target). Good opportunities to move forward. Education is not the tell all in this company, plenty of people without college degrees who are very successful. I started in receiving and now run a store.

Cons

Raises are tough acquire beyond a basic 2%, yet exec's in New Jersey continue to bring home their million dollar bonuses and stock incentives. Staffing in the stores has become very slim, do more with less.
