Pros
The benefits are better than most places I’ve worked. As long as your needs fall in line with usual practices, you can expect Belcan to deliver.
Cons
Raises ranged from 2% to 3% and are non-existent until you’ve been there a full year. Also the people responsible for approving business expense reimbursements are the same that are pressured to reduce overhead costs from the same bucket of cash from which reimbursements come. So there’s a built in conflict and the result is workers being denied approvals for legitimate expenses. Lastly, Belcan opts to keep any employee funds contributed but not spent on childcare FSA accounts when employment is terminated. So be sure you find a way to spend the cash you’ve contributed before your last day or Belcan will keep your cash. Not all Companies opt to keeping, in my experience, they allow you to use the money you contributed through the end of the year.
