Pros

Good staffing ratios, workload is manageable, flexible scheduling is a big plus, lots of experienced staff, diverse staff is embraced and supported

Cons

Pay is on low end of scale in MN, you have to push yourself to improve and grow as things are very routine, not a lot of support on 2nd and 3rd shift

Pros

The residents and staff are wonderful. I loved everyone I worked with. I really can't think of any other pros.

Cons

Poor compensation. The person I reported to is not nice and doesn't represent the values of the health system at all.

Good place to start RN career

Pros

Many staff have been here a long time, which says a lot for the company and work environment. Opportunity to learn vent nursing. Most of staff can be very helpful and people seem to genuinely like and be committed to their job. Benedictine cares for people who have no insurance and are not eligible for Medicare, and are the cast-offs of society. I enjoy being part of that mission.

Cons

Staffing seems a bit erratic. Working short frequently. Admin is more family-like than professional, which has benefits and drawbacks. Needs more transparency and involvement from direct care nursing staff.
